Training: Phytosanitary Collaboration

The core of this training is to strengthen understanding, alignment, and collaboration between all departments that work with phytosanitary legislation and documentation.

Where one person thinks from a production perspective, another works from export requirements or laboratory testing. In practice, this often leads to misunderstandings, delays, and unnecessary mistakes. This training helps teams speak the same language, understand each other’s responsibilities, and jointly meet the phytosanitary requirements of both domestic and international markets.

Who is this training for?

This training is suitable for individuals involved in phytosanitary processes within:

  • Production
  • Import
  • Export
  • Quality control
  • or employees who wish to deepen their knowledge of phytosanitary legislation

The training is accessible to both beginners and experienced staff who want to broaden or update their knowledge.

Training

The training involves analysing the business processes within each department to gain a clear and realistic understanding of how the organisation operates and which phytosanitary requirements are applied. Based on these insights, I develop a fully customised training programme that combines theory, practical examples and interactive assignments. Participants deepen their understanding of other departments by gaining insight into each other’s workflows and responsibilities and by working with realistic scenarios drawn from their own daily practice. This ensures an immediate and effective translation to day‑to‑day processes, leading to improved collaboration and higher quality in execution.

Topics covered

  • What phytosanitary legislation is, how it is structured, and why it continually evolves.
  • The relationship between documents, permits, and certificates within the overall phytosanitary process.
  • Responsibilities, division of roles, and how different departments influence each other’s work.
  • Aligning processes to prevent errors, delays, and rejections.
  • Common mistakes in documentation and execution, and how to avoid them.
  • Finding, interpreting, and applying up‑to‑date phytosanitary information in daily practice.

This training is independently developed and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NVWA. The content is based on publicly available information and practical experience.

My training programmes focus on practical knowledge and skills. No generic theory, but concrete insights, examples and solutions that you or your team can apply immediately. Together, we build a solid foundation for regulatory compliance and professional growth.
